Japan Cultural & Travel Information Centre (JCTIC) was initiated in year August 2000, as an approach in promoting tourism and the culture of Sabah and Japan with the hope that it will be of benefit to both foreign and local people alike.
Our Objective

The initial main objective of the JCTIC was to provide useful services to both foreign and local tourists, giving them the opportunity to experience cultural exchange and tourism between Japan and Malaysia. For the local who would like to learn about Japanese language and culture, we have set up a language and cultural teaching program.
As the center is founded and run as a not-for-profit organization, corporate sponsorship and contributions from the particularly tourism related business community are needed and encouraged. Contribution in monetary form or volunteering services to the center from both Japanese and Malaysian Citizens will benefit both Japanese and Malaysian.
Management Notes for 2010:
As of Nov 2010, only our Japanese Classes Activities remained. For Japanese National looking for travel information in Sabah, they are still welcome to look for us as we have local staff volunteers that could assist providing free information on Sabah Travel. On notes for our beloved locals, initially at it’s first establishment at Karamunsing Complex, we had a bigger premise, enabling us to conduct various activities like Ikebana, Tea Ceremony, Go classes, Origami and many more apart from language classes. Today we only offer affordable Japanese languages lessons to those interested as well as preparing students for JLPT exams.
As a final note from management, we wanted to say we love working at JCTIC and will try our best to assist each other in meeting it’s objective. Volunteers are welcome to help. Feel free to contact us.
